The purpose of the network is to support and promote women and non-binary people’s role in philosophy, intellectual history and history of science in Danish research, teaching and professional life by raising awareness, promoting and creating a community among female and non-binary philosophers with attachment to Denmark. The network is not attached to a specific philosophical school or a political program.
If you identify as a woman or as non-binary and have an interest in philosophy, you can become a member of the network here.
On this website, you can learn more about the network and find a list of members. As member, you can keep up with ongoing projects, and get in contact if you have any wishes, good ideas or just want to lend a helping hand.
You can also follow us on Facebook, where we post about events and other things of interest on a regular basis.
If you have any questions or ideas for activities, you are always welcome to contact the board of the network.
Info about name change and the change in our mission statement
On our last general assembly in October 2020, it was decided that from now on the Network for Women in Philosophy will also include non-binary people in the association. Therefore, we have changed our name to Network for Women and Non-Binary People in Philosophy (NKNIF). We are looking forward to welcoming non-binary people as members as well as amongst the theorists that we engage with. It is quite a process to change the name of an association, so we will continuously be updating the website, Facebook page and other platforms.
